From dream to reality of the CAPPI

Who has made it possible

The CAPPI is a socio-health centre. It is a response to an urgent need: to provide Comprehensive support for children with palliative needs and their families . This project has been possible thanks to the commitment of the PorqueViven Foundation, with the support of the Madrid City Council and the Amancio Ortega Foundation.

A thank you to those who make it possible

Thanks to the Amancio Ortega Foundation

This has been decisive for the viability of the project, providing 30 million euros for its construction.

In the words of the Amancio Ortega Foundation: "It is a great satisfaction to be able to collaborate with this project, which addresses the palliative pediatric care of the little ones and the relief that these services can offer to their entire family environment.

With this collaboration, the Amancio Ortega Foundation aims to offer its support to civil society, through the contribution of resources to the health and health services of the most vulnerable groups in society.

The knowledge, enthusiasm and willingness of the PorqueViven team and our financial collaboration will allow us to solve problems as immediately as possible, increasing the number of families served and becoming a reference center in the sector."

Thanks to the Exmo. Madrid City Council.

Which has been key in supporting the creation of the center with an administrative concession of the land for 75 years.

The Madrid City Council has played a key role in the creation of this pioneering project, showing a firm commitment to the well-being of children and their families. Its support has materialized decisively through the administrative concession of a municipal plot of land in the district of San Blas-Canillejas. The municipal plot ceded to house this center that supports children and their families is located in the district of San Blas-Canillejas and has an area of 10,910 m2; it has the qualification of basic equipment and has been ceded by the City Council for a period of 75 years. This has made it possible to lay the foundations for the construction of the CAPPI, as a socio-health center of reference promoted by the PorqueViven Foundation in the San Blas neighborhood.

A project based on experience and collaboration

The Cappi is the result of the collective effort of health professionals, social entities and people committed to improving the quality of life of children with palliative needs.

All this would not be possible without many anonymous people who, with each contribution, each gesture of support, contribute to creating a space where children and their families will find the care and accompaniment they deserve, as well as other entities such as the Association of Senior Civil Engineers, Madrid Business Forum, Madrid Futuro, which also deserve to be thanked.

In this way, all these children, beyond their illness, will be able to enjoy their days of life until the end. an environment as close to home as possible when they need it.
